Ayurveda – Health For All

Ayurveda – Health For All

Ayurveda- Scient of life
Ayurveda- Scient of life
Ayurveda is the oldest surviving complete medical system in the world, practicing mostly in Indian Continental. Derived from its ancient Sanskrit (Ancient language) roots – ‘ayur‘ (life) and ‘veda‘ (knowledge) – offering a rich, comprehensive outlook to a healthy life.
Its origins go back nearly thousands years ago, when it was practiced by the Authentic Vaidhyas( Qualified Doctors) and Spiritual Rishis(Spiritual Scientists), who laid the foundations of the Vedic civilization in India, by organizing the fundamentals of life into proper systems.

The main source of knowledge in this field is the most famous Charaka Samhita( Textbook written by Maharshi Charaka) and theSushruta Samhita( Textbook written by Maharshi Sushruta) which concentrate on internal medicine and surgery respectively. The Astanga Hridayam (Textbook written by Maharshi Vagbhata) is a more concise compilation of previous texts which was created nearly three thousand years ago. Ayurveda is practiced today based on the above unique treatises.
Ayurveda offers a unique blend of science and philosophy that balances the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual components necessary for holistic health. Ayurveda therefore is not simply a health care system but a form of lifestyle adopted to maintain perfect balance and harmony within the human existence, from the most abstract transcendental values to the most concrete physiological expressions.
